David Covarrubias is the founder and head of CAMmotion Pictures, a film company specializing in horror films.

His involvement in filmmaking came to be through his long time passion for mechanical animation. His skills in robotics and mechanical design became a doorway into special effects, having worked on such films as THE LOST WORLD, INSPECTOR GADGET, INSTINCT, and THE RELIC as well as animatronic creatures for commercials such as Louie the BUDWEISER LIZARD.

Through his work as a mechanical designer, Mr. Covarrubias was introduced to filmmaking and quickly discovered an even greater passion for filmmaking.

He thus founded CAMmotion Pictures in 2003 and quickly began work as director and producer on his first films, THE DIARY (2004) and currently PERFECT RED.
